Programa Ápice (Apex Program):
integration and collaboration for improved client service

In keeping with Mattos Filho’s continuing evolution, we launched Programa Ápice in 2021, establishing a new governance model for client service and relationships. The program’s methodology incentivizes fully integrated work between the specialists from our different practices, further enhancing the firm’s collaborative nature and ability to provide multidisciplinary assistance.

This initiative encourages our teams to take a broad view of clients’ needs and facilitates their ability to anticipate demands quickly. “We connect our practices to ensure customized and assertive solutions for our clients’ different challenges that reduce the risks for their business. This further strengthens our relationships with clients and their trust in our services, confirming the firm as an important strategic partner,” said partner Rodrigo Nascimento.

For partner Fabio Ozi, “Ápice is a way to support our clients in driving the transformation they seek for their business. The program’s methodology strengthens initiatives the partners have already been carrying out at their own initiative. Nothing is done in isolation; we think together. We have strategies to identify the best ways to direct our efforts effectively.”

“Our operations are divided into practices, a model that has proven to be quite efficient,” explained partner Glaucia Lauletta. “However, this does not mean that we should restrict our attention solely to our own area of expertise. The idea is to bring together different minds to identify more complete ways to support our clients, mobilizing the vast array of expertise we have at the firm in search of solutions that create value.”

Added transparency: our updated Integrity Program

Working ethically and transparently with all our stakeholders has always been important to us. Since our firm was first founded, we have been committed to conducting our internal and external initiatives with integrity and in compliance with the best market practices. As we have expanded and diversified our operations in recent years, we resolved to update our Integrity Program in 2021.

In our updated governance model, the program is now based on three pillars:
1) our Code of Ethics and Conduct;
2) an ombudsman and whistleblowing channels; and
3) information security and data protection.

"For years, Mattos Filho has been concerned with issues related to ethics, respect, integrity and data protection – long before the enactment of Brazil's Anti-Corruption Law and General Data Protection Law. Our improvements in these areas have created new procedures, streamlined our structure, and established and updated several existing internal rules via our Code of Ethics and Conduct. Consequently, this has increased awareness on the subject, and has resulted in more frequent training sessions."
