Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr, Moherdaui e Quiroga Advogados is founded.

Our Brasília office moves once again to Setor Bancário Norte. By this time, we have 331 professionals – 18 partners, 113 associates, 62 trainees and 138 administrative staff members.

We celebrate our 10th anniversary with a new logo.

We open our new head office on the corner of Avenida Paulista and Alameda Joaquim Eugênio de Lima, a postcard address in São Paulo.

A new wave of public listings (IPOs) begins in Brazil, which allows for the growth of Brazilian companies. Mattos Filho is among the firms providing the most assistance to companies involved in this process.

We work on the first Novo Mercado transaction, a stock offering for the Brazilian personal care and cosmetics group, Natura.

We open our New York office.

In the year with the highest volume of IPOs in Brazil’s history, we worked on 50 transactions – announcing and completing the most M&A transactions of any firm in Latin America.

In the space of two years, we hired more than 150 professionals, now with a total of 631 – 27 partners, 223 associates, 144 trainees, and 237 administrative staff members.

For the first time, we were recognized as Brazil Law Firm of the Year Year by Chambers and Partners, and  National Law Firm of the Year by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR).

This initiative prepared the firm for a new phase of expansion and was the subject of a Harvard Law School case study.

2010

We release our first Annual Report, an important development in favor of transparency for our clients and partners. This pioneering initiative involves publishing information on our financial results, number of partners, associates and administrative professionals, investments in continuous training, and social activities in the pro bono and corporate citizenship areas, among others.

We open a second office in São Paulo, near Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima.

For the second time, we are recognized as National Law Firm of the Year by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR).

The firm implements a six-month maternity leave policy.
